Hi, my name is Sarah! I am a flawed Jesus lover who is trying my hardest to follow my Shepherd. I trip and fall a lot, but "Praise the Lord!" He is patient with me! I want to be just like Him when I grow up!
My heart's desire in writing this blog is to encourage you and give you hope! It is not easy to be a Jesus follower, but it is a goal worth pursuing. I pray that as I share about my life and how God is teaching and growing me day by day, you will be inspired to take another step toward Jesus.
I have to warn you, my life is a little different and might not be just like yours. But if you share my desire to be like Jesus in a world where that is considered ridiculous and sometimes downright offensive, then I am confident that we can grow and learn together! Let's charge forward,, following close on the heels of the Creator and Sustainer of Life, the Lover of our souls, Jesus Christ!

This handsome guy is my love, my best friend, and my all time favorite person! My hubby Josh is an incredibly talented guitarist, powerful speaker and Bible teacher, a fantastic father, and the sweetest man alive! We've been married for sixteen years and have been serving in music ministry together for fifteen and a half! Eight years ago, God called us to embark on a crazy journey. We moved out of our home, sold most of our belongings and became full-time Musicianaries. We traveled year round for four years to churches in the western U.S. sharing music, testimony, and the Word. Three years ago, we moved to Spokane, WA and transitioned into a more stationary life for the family, with Josh doing the bulk of the traveling by himself on weekends. He continues to minister all over the western U.S., while our boys and I focus our ministry locally. God is continually molding and shaping this ministry. We seek to listen and follow well as He guides and directs. The specifics of this ministry flex and change over time as our lives change and we grow in the Lord. What we do looks different from one year to the next (sometimes one month to the next), but our desire to use our lives to point people to Jesus remains the same. These two cuties are my awesome kiddos! You may have noticed that this is the back of their heads and this picture is several years old. Sadly, you will not see their handsome faces on this blog. :( As much as I'd love to show them off, we decided years ago to protect their privacy by avoiding posting pictures of them. For so much of their childhood, they have lived very public lives, but this is one way I can offer them a little bit of privacy. You will notice in older posts that I lovingly refer to them as Thing 1 (T-1) and Thing 2 (T-2). This is a nickname Josh and I gave them after our second guy was born and is perfect for protecting their identity a little bit more here! I don't often call them that anymore, but I still keep their names off the blog. :) Thing 1 is our oldest. I could not be more proud of this young man. He works diligently at his schoolwork and He loves the Lord and his family. T-1 prioritizes Bible Study all on his own, and has a deep desire to have an impact for the Kingdom. He loves to read and play the guitar. He's funny, smart, and kind! Thing 2 is my "little" guy, but if you saw him you'd argue with that description. He is definitely not little any longer! I am incredibly proud of the young man he is becoming! T-2 has a joy that is contagious and isn't easily discouraged! He often surprises us with his knowledge of the Bible and his ability to apply what he knows... as well as with his quick wit and clever jokes. Together, we are a family of four determined to give God our everything! We are striving to follow where He leads, privileged to be a part of His plan. on the great adventure He has called us to. |
