Before I get into rotten pumpkins and cornundrums, I have to share these sweet words of encouragement that a precious sister in Christ shared with me this morning! These are words that the Lord spoke to her heart as she was battling feelings of defeat and worthlessness... "all you ever have to be is my daughter and I have the final and lasting word on you and i I Call you my Beloved!" My heart was so blessed by these words! What a gift to be the Beloved of the King! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The pumpkin patch that we went to Monday had the fullest pumpkin fields I've ever seen! It was beautiful! I suppose going so early in the month had a lot to do with that. We had a great time as a family hanging out among the corn and pumpkins! There weren't actually any rotten pumpkins! At least not yet! We warned the boys, though, that in these temperatures a carved pumpkin won't last long! We could not believe how TALL the corn in the corn maze was! This was, by far, the most fun corn maze we've ever done. It was just tricky enough that we needed a little bit of help from the map, but not so tricky that we got frustrated or bored! The boys especially loved it! For those who don't know, my hubby is about 6 feet tall, you add in the length of his arm and the couple feet above his hand, and you're looking at corn more than 10 feet tall. It was awesome! You totally felt like you had disappeared inside the maze! I love this handsome guy! At one point, we were struggling a bit to progress in the maze. When we realized that this way was definitely wrong, Noah and I decided we needed to mark it to make sure we didn't go that way again! :) (Dont' worry! There were no corn stalks hurt in the making of this barrier - at least not by us! We got them from the ground!) We had fun solving the periodic "cornundrums"! - John Deere! ha ha ha Meet the three little pigs who outwitted the big bad wolf - Penny, Benny, and Lenny Caden is looking to find just the right one to fit his LEGO magazine mad scientist stencil. It was fun to goof around together for the day. It's been a while since we had all day to just "play" and we loved it! The boys and I are going to go back today after their schoolwork is done. We spent so much time in the maze on Monday that we missed quite a bit of the farm. We're anxious to go do some more exploring.

God is Unchanging!
He is still on the throne! (see Psalm 102) Lord, you are my portion and my cup of blessing; you hold my future. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance. I will bless the Lord who counsels me-- even at night when my thoughts trouble me. I always let the Lord guide me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. (Psalm 16:5-8) Reading...
