When we are particularly busy, I find myself really struggling to keep track of the days. One day bleeds into the next and I never feel rested. The past week and a half have been like that. It's been a good kind of busy. I mean, really good! God has lavished on the blessings. (I'll share more about that soon.) It has been so busy though! Here's a recap of the past 12 days.
Saturday 8/15 - We packed up our stuff and left the RV park where we had been staying for a month. Then we took our trailer to the PFM Lodge and unloaded/rearranged the truck and trailer. We left the trailer there for the next two weeks. After leaving the trailer, we drove 2 hours to the Bed 'n Breakfast where we were staying that night.
Sunday 8/16 - This was a day of lots and lots of driving. We also ministered at two different churches and loaded & unloaded the truck completely twice! It's also the day that we met the couple who God used to answer our prayers in a huge way! (Sorry for the teaser, but I'll tell more about that soon!)
Monday 8/17 - Another day of driving, driving, driving! We did have a short break in the middle of the day to visit with some friends and let the boys play. Monday evening we arrived in Western Washington and unloaded all of our belongings into the two upstairs rooms of our friends' house, our home for the next two weeks.
Tuesday 8/18 - Josh spent the day working on booking concerts and practicing. The boys and I went to meet my sister and her kids at the beach. Yay for cousins reunited!
Wednesday 8/19 - Back to work for all of us. We drove the hour to my parents' house and spent most of the day cleaning out and organizing our storage shed. Caden also had his homeschool assessment in the afternoon, via Skype.
These pictures are actually when we are more than half way done with our sorting/organizing! The boys (all three of them) worked really hard bringing boxes in and out of the house so I could sort out of the sun!
Wednesday night Josh and I went on a date and the boys hung out with
Grammy and Papa!
Thursday 8/20 - Caden and I spent most of the afternoon at the orthodontist where Caden got his braces on! It went really well! He was very brave and had virtually no pain! I can't believe how much he's growing up! Josh and Noah hung out at my parents' while Caden and I were gone. Then we picked them up and headed back to our "home".
Friday 8/21 - Josh spent the day booking and practicing. The boys and I ran errands for part of the day. I also did laundry and some other chores.
Saturday 8/22 - We drove an hour and a half to my sister's house to help prepare for my nieces' joint birthday party. This was a huge, all day family get together. I got to meet my new niece and enjoyed spending time with my siblings, parents, and nieces and nephew!
Sunday 8/23 - This was a full but very fun day! We attended our home church in the morning and then went out to lunch with several families from church afterward! It was such a gift to worship at a place that feels like home, hear solid Bible teaching, and spend time with sweet friends! Then we spent the afternoon with Josh's sister and her husband in Seattle!
Monday 8/24 - Yesterday, I ran some errands while Josh worked on booking and the boys did some schoolwork! (I know, I know, I'm the meanest mom EVER!) In the evening, the boys hung out with their "auntie" Debb while Josh and I had dinner with some longtime friends and ministry partners!
Tuesday 8/25 - And that brings us to today, which by the way is also my parents' 36th Wedding Anniversary so "Happy Anniversary Mama and Daddy! I love you!" - We spent most today at the house - the boys playing and Josh and I working. This afternoon we took the boys to the park for a bit and then had dinner with our very good friends (who also happen to be our pastor & his wife).
So there you have it! I promise not to bore you with these kind of day by day details again any time soon. I often have people complain about not hearing from me on my blog when we're back in this area, though, so I thought I'd give you all an idea of why I may seem a bit busy when we're here! :) (By the way, we have plans every day for the next three days and then we leave town again Saturday...just in case you thought we were going to watch movies and eat bon bons the rest of the week! ;) )
